As of July 01 ^st 2024 at 00:00 UTC, the ADS-C/CPDLC is implemented within the LIMA FIR for all aircraft equipped with FANS-1/A capability. The link address (LOG-ON) is SPIM.

Aircraft entering the LIMA FIR via UL401 must LOG-ON at least 5 minutes before crossing the LIMA FIR boundary, but not 20 minutes before crossing the LIMA FIR boundary.

On UL401 route, aircraft not equipped with FANS-1/A capability or in the event of a link failure or system outage, will contact LIMA RADIO via FREQ HF 10024 kHz/6649 kHz.

On route UL401 the CPDLC is the primary means of communications. In the rest of the LIMA FIR it will be used as an alternate means.

The limit of the UTA LIMA is modified, extending to the meridian 090°00'00” W, as Class A airspace.
